Branding and logo identity design is my specialty – extending into all manner of collateral from brochures to signage, website design to street posters to merchandise. If you’re in need of assistance with any kind of visual communication, I’m your collaborator.

My passion is working with businesses to help conceptualise, design and implement stimulating and thought-provoking visual solutions into the world to engage and inspire your target market.

The design process

1. Brief consultation

In this initial meeting, and if relevant, I workshop with you to define and refine your business from a strategic marketing perspective, utilising my 17 years of experience in the graphic design and advertising space to best co-create a way forward together. If no such definition is necessary, we collaborate on a work brief for your project, which helps me determine the best approach forward.

Often engaging with new businesses from scratch, I love joining the process at this stage to help you figure out your voice, and speak it to the world effectively. Your budget is also considered at this time and my process is tailored to fit however much you are willing to invest in your brand or project.

2. Strategy creation

After the work brief consultation I formulate a bespoke strategy to most effectively captivate your target market and deliver your brand or project in a way that attracts attention and best tells your story.

3. Research, reference and visual moodboards

An important part of the process; I research and analyse your competitors, identifying what they do well and not so well, which in part informs our way forward.

Reference design material is also collected during this phase to inspire and allow the creative ideas to start flowing, which is then organised into visual moodboards so you are privy to the font and layout styles, colour palettes and imagery I suggest to help create the brand language we will use.

4. Conceptualise

My favourite part of the process. With the approved strategy and visual moodboards serving as the foundation, this is where inspiration takes hold and I dive deep into the crafting of your brand identity or visual communication, exploring all possibilities and generating multiple directions.

5. Design and presentation

Here I distill the concepts into several design directions, mocking up the ideas onto collateral so you can see how your brand works in the context of a brochure, website or anything that is relevant. During the presentation – either in person or online – I guide you through my thought process and discuss any further ideas that may arise.

6. Refine

I invite collaboration with you if any thoughts or ideas emerge during the presentation. Here one of the directions is chosen, and any tweaks to the design are performed. If required, a second presentation is delivered for any further consideration.

7. Final art

Once approved, I deliver all final high-resolution files to you, setup any collateral for printing or preparing website files for build. Your project is now born into the world effectively and creatively co-delivering your product or services to those who will benefit.
